Since 1949 May has been recognized as Mental Health Awareness Month. It is meant to “raise awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness in Americans’ lives and to celebrate recovery from mental illness.” The team at WBHM has assembled this list of mental health resources in the state of Alabama to share with our community and make available to anyone who may need it. We encourage you to share it. Need resources outside of Alabama? The National Institute of Mental Health has resources in both English and Spanish.
