The WBHM Junior Board offers service, learning, cultural, and social opportunities for committed supporters and is open to young professionals between the ages of 18 and 40 with a passion for public radio. New members are selected annually are expected to serve a two-year term. A recruitment social takes place in July, and completed applications are due by August 2nd. Attendance at the social is not mandatory for acceptance, but completion of the application is. Applicants will be notified whether they have received a spot on the WBHM Junior Board in September. The board term begins October 1, and full board meetings are held during the first Wednesday of odd-numbered months between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. at rotating locations throughout the city. The WBHM Junior Advisors serve under the guidance of the station’s senior Friends of WBHM community advisory board.
