Kim Homer
Gulf States Newsroom Business Manager
Kim Homer is the business manager for the Gulf States Newsroom, an exciting partnership between public radio stations in Louisiana (WWNO), Alabama (WBHM), Mississippi (MPB-Mississippi Public Broadcasting), and NPR. The Gulf States Newsroom, launched in 2020, is a regional newsroom that expands reporting power to a story-rich region where too many local news outlets have disappeared.
Prior to joining WBHM and the Gulf States Newsroom, Kim served as the executive director for the Orange County Bar Association in Orlando, Florida. Before that, Kim practiced law in Alabama, Georgia, and Montana.
Kim loves to travel and explore new places making sure to visit as many new restaurants and museums as possible on every trip. As a pastry school graduate, Kim especially enjoys baking and has a special fondness for making chocolate desserts.
