Each year 1.5 million American families file for bankruptcy. They’re your neighbors, your friends — perhaps yourself. And a new study suggests that medical problems are a major contributing factor. In the latest installment of our year-long series on mental health, WBHM’s Tanya Ott talks with Elizabeth Warren. She’s the Harvard University researcher whose study finds that personal bankruptcy filings have increased 360% since 1980.
