Clinton, Cruz and Trump to Visit Birmingham and Huntsville this Weekend
Presidential hopefuls Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Senator Marco Rubio will each make a final push campaigning in Alabama this Saturday, just days before Tuesday’s SEC Primary. They will campaign separately in Birmingham. Republican front-runner Donald Trump will hold a rally in Madison on Sunday.
Clinton is set to appear at Miles College for a Get Out the Vote event. She’ll talk raising wages, and other issues. The event will be in the gymnasium. Doors open at 11:15 am, and the event ends at 2 pm.
Rubio will attend a forum at Samford University’s Leslie S. Wright Fine Arts Center at 3 pm. Republican contender Senator Ted Cruz also was scheduled to appear at the forum alongside Rubio, but backed out. Doors open to the public at 1:30 p.m., but the event, which is organized by Yellowhammer News, is reportedly full.
For those who haven’t attended one of Donald Trump’s first two Alabama rallies, Sunday is your chance. He’s holding an event at Madison Municipal Stadium, near Huntsville, at 4 pm. According to al.com, as of Wednesday, almost 20,000 people had registered to attend.
