It’s been just over a week since the University of Alabama at Birmingham announced it’s canceling the university’s football, rifle and bowling programs. The decision, the process behind it and the numbers in the Carr Sports report have drawn heavy criticism. But others are calling it an unpopular-but-necessary move.
