Delayed School Start Times Thursday Feb. 6, 2020
A number of area schools are delaying start times due to severe weather early Thursday morning. Parts of Jefferson, Shelby, Etowah, and St. Clair counties were affected.
Here’s the list:

ANNISTON CITY SCHOOLS – Delayed two hours
BESSEMER CITY SCHOOLS – Delayed two hours
BIBB COUNTY SCHOOLS – Delayed two hours
BIRMINGHAM CITY SCHOOLS – Delayed two hours
BLOUNT COUNTY SCHOOLS – Delayed three hours
CHILTON COUNTY SCHOOLS – Delayed two hours
COOSA COUNTY SCHOOLS – Closed
ETOWAH COUNTY SCHOOLS – Delayed two hours
HOMEWOOD CITY SCHOOLS – Students report at 10:30 a.m.
HOOVER CITY SCHOOLS – Delayed two hours
INDIAN SPRINGS SCHOOL- Delayed two hours
JACKSONVILLE CITY SCHOOLS – Delayed two hours
JACKSONVILLE STATE UNIVERSITY – Opens at 10 a.m.
