The Washington DC lobbying firm that was to represent Jefferson County in its efforts to secure federal aid for sewer debt says it’s turning down the contract. In a letter made public today, Book Hill Partners says the “toxic political landscape” in Jefferson County would undermine the firm’s ability to get political support for the county.
