Tameesha Matthews

Digital Designer

Tameesha Matthews is a passionate digital creative and designer from Loachapoka, AL.

After receiving a BA in Communication with a minor in English from Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM), Tameesha began teaching 9th-grade English at Central Freshman Academy in Phenix City, AL, where she also sponsored a girl empowerment club called Leading Ladies. In this role, she honed her design skills while giving back to the community.

Tameesha initially explored journalism, writing for The AUMnibus while at AUM, but quickly discovered her true passion for social media management and content creation. She began her journey in the nonprofit sector as a social media intern at the Alabama Korea Education and Economic Partnership (A-KEEP), a nonprofit organization focused on promoting educational and cultural exchange between Alabama and Korea. This experience led her to expand her work in community outreach for several nonprofits, including Auburn University's Alabama Prison + Education Project, and other organizations ranging from nonprofits to churches in Alabama and Georgia, while furthering her education with a master's in strategic communication from Troy University.

Tameesha is a dedicated mother to her son. When she’s not working or volunteering, she enjoys photography, exploring social media trends, and teaching herself new design techniques on various platforms.
