This weekend begins American Rhapsody: A Festival of Music and Art. Part of this festival features the Alabama Symphony Orchestra performing a Masterworks concert of American music, including Aaron Copland’s Symphony No. 3.  WBHM’s Michael Krall spoke with conductor Carlos Izcary (pronounced: eez-ca-RYE) about the program and what makes American classical music distinct.
