Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton are scheduled to face off in the second presidential debate Sunday night at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Special coverage from NPR and WBHM begins at 7 p.m. Central with a an NPR News special hosted by Michel Martin. The debate, and post-debate coverage run from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. Central.

This debate will take the form of a town meeting, in which half of the questions will be posed directly by citizen participants and the other half will be based on topics of broad public interest as reflected in social media and other sources. There will be two moderators: ABC’s Martha Raddatz and CNN’s Anderson Cooper. The candidates will have two minutes to respond to each question and there will be an additional minute for the moderator to facilitate further discussion. The town meeting participants will be uncommitted voters selected by the Gallup Organization.

NPR’s politics team, with help from reporters and editors who cover national security, immigration, business, foreign policy and more, is live annotating the debate. Portions of the debate with added analysis will be highlighted below, followed by context and fact check from NPR reporters and editors.
