Thursday night (Feb. 13) the Alabama Symphony Orchestra gives the world premiere performance of the Harp Concerto by composer Vivian Fung. Featuring soloist Bridget Kibbey, the work will subsequently be performed in Germany, New York City, Washington DC and California. WBHM’s Michael Krall spoke with the composer who’s in town rehearsing the work, and asked her what it means for an orchestra to perform a world premiere.
