With the start of Fall, it’s the time of the year when school is back in session, and college football is underway. In the case of classical music, the Alabama Symphony Orchestra‘s season begins this weekend. WBHM’s Michael Krall recently spoke with ASO music director Justin Brown about his sixth and final season as music director, some new members of the orchestra, as well as the first Masterworks concert of the season.

The ASO’s Masterworks series begins tonight (9/16) at UAB’s Alys Stephens Center.
