NYC comptroller on Eric Adams indictment

New York City Mayor Eric Adams pleaded not guilty on Friday to five federal felony charges, including bribery and conspiracy.

Adams is accused of accepting expensive plane tickets, hotel rooms and illegal campaign contributions from foreign nationals.

Adams says he will not resign, despite calls from a number of elected officials in New York for him to do so.

One of those elected officials who is calling on Adams to step aside is New York City Comptroller Brad Lander. He’s second in line to be mayor if Adams should resign or be removed. He is also running against Adams in next year’s mayoral primary. Lander joins us.
