It has been 10 years since pro-democracy demonstrators in Hong Kong used umbrellas to protect themselves against police pepper spray, and five years since another wave of protestors packed the streets of Hong Kong.
But now, under a wide-ranging national security law, news stories of those events are being wiped off the internet. Books about the protests are being removed from the shelves of libraries and bookstores. A BBC documentary tracks these changes. It’s called “Erasing Hong Kong.”
