Gov. Robert Bentley’s chances at finishing out his term took a hit Thursday. The Alabama Ethics Commission found probable cause he violated state ethics and campaign finance laws and forwarded several complaints to the Montgomery district attorney’s office for possible prosecution. It’s the latest fallout from the scandal sparked by an alleged affair between Bentley and a former aide. This comes at the same time as the House Judiciary Committee will release a report Friday relating to impeachment. We talk about the situation with Alabama Media Group columnist John Archibald.
