What it’s Like Being “Out in Alabama”

The documentary Out in Alabama will make its Alabama debut tomorrow as part of the Sidewalk and SHOUT Film Festivals. The movie tells the stories of a handful of people in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. One of them is 31-year-old Joshua Glenn. He talks about his role in the film and its significance to the LGBT people in Birmingham and the South. Glenn begins by retelling his “coming out” story, an underlying narrative in the film and his life.
