Many people who work, live, and raise families on the west side of Birmingham want you to know there’s more to life there than the crime and other problems that fill so many news reports. Their thoughts on the areas they actually know beyond the news cycle are this week’s Weld for Birmingham cover story, the first of a two-part series, “Voices West of I-65.” WBHM’s Dan Carsen talks about it with Weld editor Nick Patterson, who says there’s historically been a lack of balanced press coverage.
