The UAB Blazers loaded up on junior college players and scooped up Alabama’s Mr. Football in their return to national signing day. Coach Bill Clark added 18 players to the roster, including 4 from Alabama. Clark says that’s significant.
“One of the thing that I found in recruiting is the local guys, the guys from around this area…what is UAB gonna do? Is this really what we said it is? This tells you it is,” says Clark.
The Blazers also picked up players from Arkansas, California, Florida, Iowa, Mississippi, New York, Texas and Virginia.
