The Birmingham Museum of Art has a new curator of European Art. Born and raised in Berlin, Germany, Robert Schindler has studied and curated art across the United States. He joins the museum’s staff after completing a fellowship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
As he settles into his new role, his first task is to curate a collection of work by the French Romantic artist, Eugene Delacroix. WBHM’s Sarah Delia took a sneak peek behind the exhibition “Delacroix and the Matter of Finish.”
