One week ago today, David Pollick stepped down as President of Birmingham-Southern College. Pollick’s exit came after overspending and accounting errors led to layoffs of faculty and staff. After David Pollick’s resignation, trustees named Mark Schantz as the school’s Interim President. Schantz came to Birmingham-Southern last year. He was hired to be a history professor and the school’s Provost. Schantz talked with WBHM’s Bradley George about the challenges he faces as takes on the role of Interim President.
