A Special Evening to Celebrate Dr. Adrienne Starks
This event provides a platform to celebrate and honor the work of Dr. Adrienne Starks — a native of Birmingham’s Fairfield neighborhood who earned her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), and returned home to found STREAM Innovations, a nonprofit committed to helping students develop and explore their passion for Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The event aims to inspire future generations, amplify local voices, foster dialogue, and promote inclusivity in our community.

All ticket proceeds from this event directly benefited STREAM Innovations, an Alabama non-profit organization whose mission is to empower students to explore and excel in Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics through hands-on experiences, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving.
