Andrea Blackert Owens

Andrea Blackert Owens is a native Floridian who ran barefoot whenever she could until her family expatriated to Germany when she was a teenager. While there, she developed a deep and abiding love for seasonal change (but not snow!) and hilly terrain. Andrea settled in Birmingham after graduating from Auburn University. She has financial management as well as non-profit program and project management experience, essential skills for her new role as the Business Manager for the Gulf States Newsroom. Outside of work, she herds cats and enjoys cooking and feeding friends and family. When the weather is just right, she and her husband ride their motorcycles to various locales.
