As a dedicated WBHM listener, you know that we made programming changes this past spring. By adding NPR news/talk programming to WBHM's midday schedule, we believe we are better serving you. We've heard you say this programming and the news we bring you is even more important in this significant election year.

The cost of bringing you this high quality, comprehensive news and information has increased and we know you understand why. WBHM and National Public Radio take pride in being able to bring you news and information which is vetted and accurate. The news product you hear has been checked and double-checked by "real people who care" and that quality is expensive. The old saying "you get what you pay for," has never been truer when applied to the news we bring you throughout the day.

To ensure that we can meet your expectations and bring you this important information you say you desire and require during this critical election fall, WBHM will have a Summer Listener Challenge on Thursday, August 14 and Friday, August 15.

During the Summer Listener Challenge, we will focus on adding new members to WBHM's membership pool. To maintain our strong membership base, we have a strategic goal to recruit 1,200 new members each year, and a desire to grow our membership even more. With our Summer Listener Challenge, we hope to get a jump start on that - growing our membership.

Keeping this challenge in mind, I ask you to make a special, tax-deductible contribution to our Summer Listener Challenge Pool.

Your generous gift of $40, $90, $120, or the amount that's right for you, will be combined with gifts from other members and used as leverage during the on-air campaign to challenge those who have never been a member of WBHM.

Over the past months, you have done your part to ensure the continued, uninterrupted broadcast of the programs you've come to expect from WBHM. Thank you for that committed support. Now, I hope we can count on you to be as generous as you can to help us grow our membership during our Summer Listener Challenge.
