Bradley George
Bradley George's radio career began at the age of 17, in his hometown of Elkin, North Carolina. An internship at the local radio station led to a part time job. He wrote commercials, ran the control board, and read the obituary announcements. Looking for something a little less morbid, Bradley enrolled at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina where he majored in Theatre and German Studies. Sadly, his fondness for Brecht and Beckett wasn't enough to sustain him in the 'real world'. So he found a job at bookstore that eventually led him back to radio--WFDD in Winston-Salem. During his tenure there, he produced and hosted nearly 600 episodes of a daily arts and culture program. He also produced feature stories, hosted election night coverage, and won AP and Green Eyeshade awards for his work. Bradley is now happy to be a part of the talented team at WBHM, where you hear him on Tapestry and weekday afternoons on All Things Considered. If you have story ideas for Tapestry, or just want to say hello, email Bradley at Bradley@wbhm.org . |
